Most range cookers take 2.5 to 4 hours on site. Larger 110cm and 120cm ranges, or heavily soiled traditional AGAs, may take up to 5 hours. We always quote a realistic window when you book so you can plan your day.
Traditional cast-iron AGAs are cleaned differently from modern range cookers — the baked enamel surfaces, insulated cavities, and top plates all require specific techniques. If you own an AGA, mention this when you call and we will walk through the preparation steps (the cooker usually needs to be cool, so some planning ahead is required).
Range cookers are often the centrepiece of an open-plan kitchen. We arrive with protective floor coverings, bring all our own equipment, and work contained around the appliance — no mess spread across the kitchen, no damage to surrounding cabinetry or worktops. The area is ready to use again as soon as we finish.
